GoBabygo workshop
Children with a mobility deficit age 1-3 are eligible to receive a free, customized electric car at a GoBabyGo workshop hosted by the Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA), statewide Kiwanis Clubs, led by the Kiwanis Club of River Forest and Oak Park, and engineers and clinicians from Triton College, Sunrise Medical, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
GoBabyGo is an open-source program committed to all people exploring their world via independent mobility.
In order to receive a car, the child must have:
Cognitive age of 12 months or greater
Head and trunk control
No severe visual disorder
Enthusiastic parent(s) with ability to supervise a child in a car.
Register here for the May 2, 2026 GoBabyGo build in Lombard. Cars can fit children up to 33 inches tall.
