Respite Care provides temporary relief for caregivers from the ongoing responsibility of caring for an individual of any age with special needs who may be at risk of abuse or neglect.  The purpose of the Illinois Respite Coalition’s Emergency Respite Program is to offer funding and resources to support caregivers of children with special needs or adults with special needs who have an urgent need for respite care in the absence of any other funding source.  Contact the Statewide Coordinator at 773.205.3627, 630.207.8479 or thielenc@maryvilleacademy.org.
