The Illinois Prairie Community Foundation helps people with spina bifida with hospital stay expenses

Thanks to a generous grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, the Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA) has provided funds to people living with spina bifida to help them with expenses during hospital stays. Residents of McLean, DeWitt, Logan, and Livingston Counties received ISBA funds.

Spina bifida is a lifelong neurological condition that affects the spine and is usually apparent at birth. Spina bifida can cause physical and developmental disabilities that range from mild to severe. Spina bifida is a complex condition that, for many, requires specialized medical care and daily attention to health and wellness.

“We are grateful to the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation for partnering with us in service to children, adults, and families living with spina bifida,” said ISBA Executive Director Matt Larsen. We are very grateful to the Illinois Prairie Foundation for partnering with ISBA and providing ISBA with this grant opportunity.
